Thailand Day 2 (Khao Shan)

it's amazing what money can buy

After the glitz and glamour of Siam, we decided to get back in touch with mother earth by checking out the hippie backpacker's ghetto otherwise known as Khao San Road. And like my previous trip there, it started to rain not long after my arrival.

However, thanks to Bangkok's ever growing traffic problem, it took us well over an hour to get there from Siam, although the time stuck in the cab allowed Ben and Ephraim to acquire some very practical Thai phrases that should prove to be useful at our show.

Dreads, underage liquour, fake IDs, fake TEFL certs, ladyboys selling fried bugs... gotta love it. Because of the rain, we camped out at the same café Whence He Came and Buddhistson had hung out at back in 2004.
