Singapore Day 2 part III

It's amazing to see how much Baybeats has grown since my performance with Whence He Came 3 years ago. I really can't imagine something similar taking place in Hong Kong, at least not right outside the Cultural Centre or Convention Centre, and certainly not with heavy government funding, which is the case here.

It's also real inspiring to see how high the standard of local musicianship is. Highlight of today would have to be that of local legends Plain Sunset. They played their hearts out to what felt like 1500 kids, who sang along to the words of every single song.

Other than checking out the bands, we've been having a pretty relaxing time, just taking it easy and enjoying the incredibly chilled pace of life here. The wonderful assortment of local dishes have been a real source of delight.

Tomorrow is the big day. It'll be interesting to see what kind of a response we'll get tomorrow. Judging by the myspace hair and fashion that's impossible to get away from here, we may not be fashion-core enough for the kids.
