Freezing Cold Macau

So here I am again, at my usual phone charging, wi-fi hotspot. All is deadly quiet in Macau, and the freezing cold and wet air serves as the perfect backdrop to this eerie calm. I imagine things will be quite different when Chinese New Year kicks in next week, but for now, today's Macau reminds me of how it felt visiting here a decade ago. There was almost a European winter vibe just now as the bus passed along smoking factory chimneys and industrial warehouses. Even with my long johns and thermal under shirt I'm still shivering, yet when I get off the plane five hours from now I'll probably be sweating like a pig.
