It's been a pretty neat (albeit somewhat exhausting) couple of days trying to squeeze in as much as possible around KL. We ate and took pictures and ate and took pictures and ate and took pictures. Even with Trigger's vegetarian diet, she's been able to enjoy herself here... well, at least a lot more than she did when we went to Cambodia.
The air-conditioned, mosquitoe-less room at the Heritage Station Hotel was a nice break from the sleepless night at SanVa. But we're trying to not over-indulge, so earlied this afternoon we checked in at the Pudu Hostel, which is more of a backpacker kind of joint, but still air-conditioned and mosquitoe-free. It's location right opposite the infamous Puduraya bus station means we'll have a real easy time catching our 10 am bus to Melaka tomorrow morning.
Finding (free) Wi-Fi access around town has been a real drag though. Now and again I'd come across an unsecure signal, but even after succesful connection, I'd find that I'm unable to browse any web pages nor access my emails. Which is why right now I'm resorting to service of the net cafe below our hostel. Unfortunately that means I can't upload any pics from my dopod for the time being. But time is running out, and the blurry uncleaned monitor is starting to really hurt my eyes, so I better call it a night.
Let's see if I'll have better luck in Melaka.
