The Bullet Train

It's been amazing going to Nagoya and Osaka via the Shinkansen. In addition to being an extremely fast and efficient service, the trains are also very quiet, to the point where you don't feel like you're moving at all. And I think it's the first train I've ever been on with a phone booth.

The view along the way has been quite spectacular and breath-taking. It's nice to see something of Japan other than skyscrapers and neon lights.

Today's the last day of the tour. The band will fly back to Narita at the crack of dawn but I decided to take the money and put it towards a Shinkansen ticket instead. That would bring me back to Tokyo with a good 6-7 hours to do more walking around.

Korea has a very similar train, the KTX - check it out next time you're in the area.
